In November of 2004, Mr. Adrian Smith received the Max Goodwin Award as the Young Trial Lawyer of the Year in the State of Indiana from the Indiana Trial Lawyer’s Association. Mr. Smith received this award based upon the verdict he was able to obtain on behalf of Mr. Armenta.

On November 10, 2003, Mr. Smith was able to obtain a verdict in the amount of $3,955,000.00 in the case of Javior Armenta v. Jose Zambrana, et al. Mr. Armenta had been seriously injured after being shot as a direct result of several defendants’ negligence.

In October of 2002, Mr. Gladish became Board Certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a Civil Trial Specialist. The National Board of Trial Advocacy is the only national certification program for trial attorneys. Established to identify those attorneys that have the experience and skill necessary to label themselves as specialists and is accredited by the American Bar Association.

On October 4, 2002, Mr. Smith was able to obtain a jury verdict of $400,000.00 in the Jasper Superior Court in Rensselaer, Indiana in the case of Timothy DeKock v. Brian Morse, et al. Mr. DeKock was in a serious motorcycle versus car accident. The basis of the case was the Defendant's failure to yield the right of way to Mr. DeKock.

On September 20, 2001, Mr. Gladish was able to obtain a jury verdict of $634,638.76 in the Lake Superior Court, Room Five in Hammond, Indiana in the case of Wally Pasinsko & Delta M. Johnson v. Lake County, et al. Mr Pasinsko was in a serious automobile accident which resulted in a very severe fracture of his left ankle. The basis of the case against Lake County was its failure to maintain the intersection, so that driver's views were not obstructed by trees and vegetation.

On May 21, 2001, Mr. Gladish won an appeal in the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in the case of John Wolf v. Northwest Indiana Symphony Society, appeal no. 99-4018. This case had been appealed after Mr. Gladish was successful in obtaining summary judgment in the favor of the Symphony at the district court level on Mr. Wolf's claims of sexual harassment, gender discrimination, and violation of the Equal Pay Act. This appellate decision will be published, and will act as a precedent for future decisions.

On October 3, 2000, Mr. Smith obtained a jury verdict in the amount of $375,000.00 in the case of Michael Belmonte v. Aida Martinez, Case No. 45D02-9707-CT-837, in the Lake Superior Court, Room Two in East Chicago, Indiana. The settlement offer prior to the trial was only $21,000.00.

In the first half of 2000, Mr. DeBonis entered into a settlement in the amount of $175,000.00. This case related to a customer being given a toxic cleaner when she had ordered water from a drive-thru fast food establishment.

In June of 2000, Mr. Gladish began teaching a class on legal research & writing at Calumet College of St. Joseph.

In the first half of 2000, Mr. Smith entered into a settlement which nearly reached one million ($1,000,000.00) for personal injuries sustained by a worker in an explosion in Northwest Indiana. This photograph demonstrates some of the damage sustained to the workplace.

In the first half of 2000, Mr. Smith reached a settlement in a wrongful death case against an insurance company that had the excessive coverage in the amount of one million dollars ($1,000,000.00). This settlement amount was on top of monies already collected from the defendant and his primary insurer.

In December of 1999, the lawyers in the Northern District of Indiana elected Mr. Smith to the Indiana Judicial Nomination Commission and the Commission of Judicial Qualifications. The purpose of this Commission is to select the judges for the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals of Indiana.

In December of 1999, Mr. Gladish was appointed as a member of the advisory board for Calumet College of St. Joseph's paralegal program. The purpose of the board is to ensure that the program produces qualified paralegals.

On June 17, 1999, Mr. Gladish obtained a jury verdict in the amount of $113,600.00 in the case of Wesley Hare and Ruth Hare v. Duane Hosek and Dieomatic, Inc., Cause No. 45D02- 9609-CT-836, in the Lake Superior Court, Room Number Two in East Chicago, Indiana. This was a personal injury case where the offer of settlement prior to trial was only $35,000.00.
